I had never been introduced to the Inspiration program before this class. That's very unfortunate for me because the program is so user-friendly and useful, it makes me regret all the wasted hours trying to create concept maps before this course. Concept maps are extremely useful for both students and teachers alike; they can be used for organizing a paper, a project, or exploring unknown material. I only wish I had been introduced to the program earlier in my education courses. The time spent in class working with Microsoft Word and Publisher were also useful for learning new short-cuts. Hopefully I'll retain some of these short-cuts and be able to teach them to my future students.
I agree. This should have been a course that was taught before our methods courses. Everything we are learning in this class would have been extremely helpful and make our time and work more efficient and probably more creative! But at least we have these new advantages to work with in the future!
ReplyDeleteI agree also. I was lucky that we learned about Inspiration on Monday because I had to use it for my concept map that was due Tuesday. I think that all three programs are very useful to teachers also and I am also glad to know some short cuts in these programs.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also agree. I really wish I would have been able to take this course before I took my secondary methods course. Trying to create a unit plan with no prior knowledge about programs, like inspiration that make concept maps easy, was really frustrating. I kept trying to make concept maps on microsoft word and it wasn't as easy to customize as inspiration was.
